The CLASS Championship has a long history of bringing TOP notch corps to the front and center on one night of food, music and pageantry! Originally started as a way for CLASS corps to get one last big get together prior to finals, it evolved into a trophy heavily sought after by CLASS and non-CLASS corps alike! The food over the years has been pretty incredible too as more and more corps bring with them feasts from their local areas! The Knights started the tradition by bringing New England shore dinners with them and it has evolved ever since. gcurrier Posted July 27, 2010 Author Share Posted July 27, 2010 The Knight Org Corporate jets landed last night at BNA in Nashville and quickly got the groups shifted up to their home away from home for a few days at South Warren Middle and High School in Bowling Green! The Knights are holding an open rehearsal today and will actually have treats from Europe for audience members who are willing to step up and give their critique of the show! The Knights want to have a balance between one that pleases the judges, but more importantly is what their FANS want and expect from them! See everyone Wednesday night on the field! gcurrier Posted July 27, 2010 Author Share Posted July 27, 2010 CLASS Corporate office would like to officially apologize to the following corps: Minnesota Madness, Minnesota Cadets, Catalina Crusaders, Tokyo Tornadoes and Minnesota Scouts. They are of course all proud and strong members of CLASS and the designation was left off their corps in the schedule. A full page has been added to the program for each listing their accomplishments, program and on and off the field leaders! THIS is why at my very seniored age of 38 you dont do things by memory alone! ced3905 Posted July 28, 2010 Share Posted July 28, 2010 Stuart Scott: (I'd thought that baseball game would never end, oh we're live) Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to Hilltopper Country. For we are here at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky for the DCPI CLASS Championships. Some of the best drum corps in the country are competiting here tonight and the compitition has been fierce thus far. The All Age Corps started the show off and showed us that they still have it after all these years. Dunkirk Patriots started the show off with a bang as their percussion section show no gitters playing some pretty clean notes for an all age corps. Both the Glorius and Imperical Marching Brigades showed off their visual expertise as they marched circles (perfect ones at that) around the other corps. The Oostburg Barnstormers had a very well rounded show that could compete with the Junior corps on some level. Triglav and MN Madness left the crowd speechless with their very entertaining shows. But not onlly that, but those brass lines had some power behind them. It's gonna be a tough call to say who takes this class. Moving on to the A Class Corps, I like to call these guys small but mighty. Alpha Orbit and Titanium came out first and laid down some improved performances from the previous week. Home corps Nastalgia Percussion Ensemble found them self in a unfimilar third performing spot, as they've been performing bad lately. But after tonight's performance they may be back in the hunt with their percussion section (go figure) on fire tonight. VK3 came out put a performance on the field that may give them the title tonight. Always very entertaining, VK3 had the crowd on their feet for the majority of their show. But Cape Cod Regiment may have something to say about it. Very well executed show by these guys and girls tonight. Phenomal music program may allow them to repeat as A Class CLASS Champions tonight.
