Steve De Silva
Hiya all, I'm an old school DC fan, retired from the sport five years ago to persue other musical interests. I marched lead Baritone with Madison Scouts in 1998, was brass arranger for Magic in 1999 and also for Southwind 2000-2002. I'm currently living in Lancashire in the UK but I'm keeping in touch with the DCI circuit and I'm planning to make Finals 2012. I've also been an active member of DCUK from 1988 to 2006 and toured with DCE. I started out on pit percussion at the age of seven, progressing to quints by 1993. In 1996 I changed allegiance and moved to contra (with a different Corps). Since then I've stuck with brass, playing both contra and baritone. I've also arranged a number of shows for various Corps over the years both in the UK, Europe and USA. Since leaving the DC circuit, I've concentrated on my professional acting career alongside my day job, maybe you'll see me on TV soon
