Storm Troopers Season 18

Recommended Posts

We’ve all seen the Wizard of Oz, and we’ve saw every side of Oz there is. Until now…

When music from “The Wizard of Oz” meets “Wicked”, Bernstein’s Symphony No. 1 – “Jeremiah”, Verdi’s “Requiem”, and Sarah Bareilles you get our Season 18 production, ZO!

Opening with the Main Title from “Wizard of Oz” and Nobody Mourns the Wicked from “Wicked”, we are introduced to “D.G.” and “The Witch” as they establish the rivalry. D.G. is left alone in a “strange new world” she is directed to go speak with “The Wizard” (You’re Off to See The Wizard from “The Wizard of Oz”.) Along her way she meets “Scare A. Crow”, “T. Tin Man”, and “Howard the Cowardly Lion” (If I Only Had A Brain from “The Wizard of Oz”.) Our quartet arrives in the Emerald City, but to their dismay “The Wizard” refuses their audience. D.G. finds herself feeling homesick, and begins to cry (Kaleidoscope Heart / Over the Rainbow from “The Wizard of Oz”.) “The Wizard” hears her dismay and tells her if she can defeat “The Witch” he will send her home. D.G. and her friends set off to find “The Witch” (Symphony No. 1 “Jeremiah”, II, Profanation) when they are attacked by the Witch’s henchmen (Attack of the Winged Monkies from “The Wizard of Oz”) and ultimately find themselves in battle with the sorceress herself (Dies Irae from “Requiem”.) Our heroes are ultimately triumphant (Ding Dong the Witch is Dead from “The Wizard of Oz”) and all is again well, and D.G. is sent home (Over the Rainbow reprise.) But we’re left with the feeling that the story is not quite over…

We hope you will enjoy our Season 18 production ZO!
