Blue Stars – My placement: 6th – 63.9, Actual – 6th – 62.7

This show is just fun straight up drum corps! While dirty, it offered a full package, easy to get theme, and no really weak section! Lots of room to clean and grow!

Cavaliers – My placement: 5th – 67.5, Actual – 5th – 67.55

The marched, spun, and drummed well, but where is the impact? I just didn’t get it. They have a lot of room to grow though, who knows, maybe I’ll end up liking this show?

Carolina Crown – My placement: 4th – 63.2, Actual – 3rd – 68.65

This show is HARD!!! They had the hardest package of the night IMO, and it showed, some dirt (especially in the drumline) but it’s got championship writing all over it. It’s a show that can be added to a lot I think, guard kinda blended with the corps proper though which I didn’t like.

Bluecoats – My Placement: 3rd – 69.5, Actual – 4th – 67.8

BY FAR my favorite! The only part of this show I didn’t like was the closer, just needs some rewrites and it will be fine! Just great overall package, not much else to say! AMAZING guard costuming!

Phantom Regiment – My placemtn: 1st – 70.55, Actual – 2nd – 69.3

GORGEOUS is all I have to say! By far the cleanest of the night, and I can already tell those girls are going to be competing for high guard, what an awesome production!

The Cadets – My placement: 2nd – 70.1, Actual – 1st – 70.2

I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it. Kinda cliché show set up, but it was enjoyable, cleanliness along with Phantom, I have a feeling there is a lot to add.

My grandma and her best friend also came to their first drum corps event and loved it, two new fans!

I guess I ‘ll get up close and personal with these again in San Antonio!
