TerriTroop
The warm up area isn't far away as the crow flies, but it's quite a trek considering you have to walk from the far end of the parking lot, under the railroad tracks, and from the rear to the front of the stadium. SA is not the best venue to watch the lots, IMO. San Antonio stinks for lot watching. Not only is it impossible to get around easily to all of the corps you may want to see, it's hot enough to fry eggs on the concrete, even at dusk. I'm not joking. Just get inside and enjoy everyone from the beginning. It's much more pleasant, and you won't feel like you just walked 20 miles in the desert. Also, the trek back to the dome from the lot areas is longer than one might realize, and you risk missing some really great stuff on the field while you wind your way through the souvies and concession lines to get to your seats. And if your seats are up top, use the stairs. The elevators are SLOW. If you're old and pudgy like me, you'll be winded and feel nearly nauseated by the time you get there, but it will still be faster than the elevators.
