alumniof
Wondering if a tribute corps on G bugles performing classics and integrating flashbacks of drill and guard that paid tribute to the history of drum and bugle corps have a place and acceptance and compete if designed brilliantly. On the fence of a straight copy or representing it with today's drill and guard. The biggest reaction....if not the only one....was Troopers sunburst in Allentown. Would kids bother joining that corps?Would it be a crowd favorite or a leave our legacy alone? Edited August 6, 2013 by alumniof
Kamarag
The Troopers sunburst was a hit with fans who knew the history of the corps, and because it looked cool. It also lasted what, fifteen seconds? If you want to see an entire tribute show, it should be approached like Jersey Surf's take on the Bridgemen last year. There's an entire facet of alumni corps that performs old-school design on old-school equipment during DCA Championships weekend. Very few fans actually attend.
