Maestro196 Posted February 5, 2015 Share Posted February 5, 2015 The schedule and fate (although I may be tempting it with this post) are finally cooperating and I will be able to go to Allentown for the first time this year. Does anybody know if Ron Gunn is still putting packages together or if anyone is doing anything like that? I am not familiar with the area so I have no clue where to look for hotels or where would be good to stay that's affordable. I have slept cheaply at the so-so Knight's Inn, the Red Roof Inn, and Howard Johnson's. The Wingate near Dorney Park is nice. The Best Western on route 22 in Bethlehem has a large outdoor pool. Springhill Suites is comfy. Stayed downtown once, which was enough. One year, I stayed at Extended Stay near the airport. And to double my points on Southwest Rewards, I checked out Saturday morning, then checked back in Saturday night. Check out the tripadvisor website for a write up of all the hotels in the area.
