My name is Nikk Pilato, and I am a long-time member of the marching community, having been involved with marching bands at the high school, college, and drum corps level. For the past few years I was Director of Bands & Orchestras at J.P. Taravella High School in Coral Springs, Florida, where despite rehearsing only once a week (yes, you read that right), the JPT Band consistenly placed in the top 3 at all competitions attended, including the Grand Championship at the 2002 FMBC Vero Beach Competition, and a 2nd place finish (by 0.17....how do you finish 0.17 behind someone???? :-) in 2003.
