CANOSDIRECTOR Posted September 7, 2005 Share Posted September 7, 2005 Americanos Go Indoor The Board of Directors of the Americanos are proud to announce the formation of the Americanos Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Under the direction of Adam Hill, Bart Bates and Linnie Rose, this new Independant indoor ensemble will be the first of its kind in the Fox Valley area. "We want to give young percussionists an opportunity to perform competitively, to strengthen their skills and to participate in a high calibre drumline during the winter months. By competing in WGI (Winter Guard International) competitions, we will be able to stand toe to toe with the top performing groups in the nation," said Bart Bates, front ensemble caption head/designer. "This is going to help put the Americanos organization back into active competition and better prepare us for the summer DCI tour," says Linnie Rose, Americanos Corps Director. "Our indoor percussion ensemble will build a solid foundation for our entire percussion program year round. We are offering special opportunities for our winter line members to also perform with the organization this summer as well. Approximately 25 percussionists will be selected out of all auditionees who attend an early October percussion camp or who send in audition video tapes after contacting the Americanos and filling out an Indoor Percussion Ensemble Interest Form.
