Skyliners announce their 2006 design team

The New York Skyliners are pleased to announce the 2006 design team.

Tim (Shorty) Bartholomew will be returning to head up the design team.

Tim's drum corps experience includes Garfield Cadets, The Troopers, Star of Indiana, Crossmen, New Jersey Surf and the U.S. Naval Academy Drum and Bugle Corps.

Shorty is also the Assistant Band Director for Stroudsburg High School. He is a English/Language Arts/Computer/Study skills/Reading teacher at Stroudsburg Junior High School.

Edward D. Argenziano will also be returning as battery and front ensemble arranger.

Ed was the percussion arranger for the 2004 Magic of Orlando. He was also the DCI percussion Caption Administrator from 1997 -1999. He was also the DCA Percussion Administrator from 2001-2003.

He is presently serving as a music/percussion judge for BOA and WGI.

He is the Director of BAnds at Morris Knolls Hs in Rockaway and is extremely involved as a music/percussion clinician and music adjudicator and has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Japan.

Ed also teacher of secondary school in New Jersey for 20 years.

Rick Wygant will be this year's brass arranger. Rick was a marching member in Fantasia III drum and bugle corps and he also marched the Garfield Cadets where he aged out.

He has taught the Crossmen, consulted for Reading Buccaneers and was the arranger for Westshoremen and is currently the brass arranger/Musical Director for The Jersey Surf.

Rick is currently the Band Director for the Stroudsburg Area School District. He also has over 20 years of experience arranging for NJ/NY/PA/MD marching bands.

Eric Sabach will be the drill designer and visual consultant.

Eric Sabach has been involved in the movement arts for over 30 years, prforming with, teaching, judging, and consulting some of the best groups in the country.

He marched with the DCI World Champion Garfield Cadets and the Royal Brigade from the Meadowlands,NJ , was the visual caption head of the Star of Indiana, and currently is a member of the visual staff of the Phantom Regiment from Rockford, IL. He has also worked with The New York City Skyliners and numerous WGI caliber winterguards including The New York Royal Guardsmen.

Eric's judging experience includes: ISSMA, BOA, DCI, DCA Visual Caption Chairperson 2003, USSBA, North Texas Colorguard Association, and TriState Judges Association to name a few.

Having worked with numerous successful bands on the state and national level such as Ben Davis HS in Indiana and Northwestern Lehigh HS in Allentown, PA (both have proven themselves on the BOA Grand National stage) he has also worked with groups on the local level consult their programs to be more innovative, entertaining, and visually sound.

Professionally, Eric is a sales and marketing consultant in the NJ/NYC area. His hobbies include boating, Harley Davidson motorcycles, The NY Jets and Yankees, Cirque Du Soleil and Blue Man Group, and spending quality time with his Golden Retriever, Bailey Jo!

Eric would like to add this:

"I am looking forward to helping the Skyliner organization and its members achieve their goals. Being around the corps the last three weekends of the season was a memorable experience and I am looking to help build upon those memories for all involved in the upcoming season. Bring a friend to the first camp, get them to join, and let's have a fantastic winter, spring, and summer that we all hope for!"

As you can see, The New York Skyliners have put together a MORE THAN QUALIFIED TEAM that will be sure to make this year's show a show that will not soon be forgotten!!!!! Be a part of it!!!!!!!!
