johnric
Bridgemen Alumni to perform at DCI Eastern Classic The Bridgemen Organization is pleased to announce an agreement with Drum Corps International to perform at DCI’s Eastern Classic. On Saturday night, August 5th 2006, The Bridgemen Alumni drum and bugle corps will perform at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown Pennsylvania. The Bridgemen, once a fan favorite and 10 time DCI finalist, made its last appearance in 1987. The Bridgemen Alumni Corps is under the direction of long time Bridgemen Alumnus George Lavelle. “We are extremely excited to perform at a place where the Bridgemen had one of it’s crowning moments, winning the 1977 DCI East title” said Lavelle, “we are excited for the opportunity to entertain audiences again”. The Bridgemen’s 2006 show will include some of the Bridgemen’s greatest hits. Selections will include Pagliacci, Land Of Make Believe, Summer of ’42, My Favorite Things, In the Stone, and the Bridgemen’s signature tune The William Tell Overture. The Bridgemen staff is lead by show coordinator/ percussion arranger and DCI hall of Fame member Dennis DeLucia. The Brass Arranger is the legendary Larry Kerchner. LancerFi
FABULOUS!!! Will you do a full field show? If everyone sends me $1.00 or $2.00 to sponsor me, I can be on the field that night. Please, give this old lady a thrill that she hasn't had since 1994. Then, next year I will also need $5.00 each to go to California and march with another legendary corps - The Kingsmen. :o Thanks for your help! :D This may be my last chance.
