Michael Boo
In 1976, Kilties (having a really off year) played "Knightsbridge March" as their opener. However, during the winter, a member I was going to school with was telling me about this forceful and gutsy opener by a Japanese composer with a rather generic title like "Music for Orchestra" or something equally generic. I heard the corps play the piece at a winter I&E competition in Wisconsin that had a division for small corps. Sometime before the season, it was replaced with "Knightsbridge." A few months later I heard the Japanese piece on classical FM radio. Does anyone know what the title of this piece is and who wrote it? Michael Boo
Just sent your query on to the Great one,Ken Norman. Thanks, but I already heard from him via a friend. Ken told him he wasn't involved with the small corps production that year and didn't know about the piece.
