ScribeToo Posted July 7, 2006 Share Posted July 7, 2006 YES!! Loved them! Especially those sling drums and the great sound they produce (for a bunch of old farts -- and I DO mean old! One of those guys was in the ORIGINAL 1948 hornline!) They're kinda small.. as alumni corps go.. but they are what I consider a "true alumni" corps -- only fmms are permitted to join and participate.. and they're sort of doing it more as a fundraising opportunity for the junior corps.. and a chance to stay connected with their "younger brothers" -- they really got a rise out of the audience, though.. and they don't really try to scream a bunch of high notes they never reach. Soloists are fantastic and the music they chose is both nostalgic and entertaining. Loved 'em. Can't wait to see/hear them again!!
