Danhobl Posted August 1, 2006 Share Posted August 1, 2006 Try Middleton. It's just West of Madison, and there's tons of hotels built up out there. Not sure about availability though. They're probably booked as they are fairly close to downtown Madison. Otherwise, you may have to start heading out towards Milwaukee. I imagine everything in Madison is booked up. Also check the large hotels and see if they will call you if the get a cancelation (not unusual). Get a map. Start from Madison and go south on 1-39 (what used to be called I-90) towards Rockford (about an hour away). The major towns to check are Janesville, Beloit, then Rockford. There are plenty of Motels off of the interstate in those areas. This is a good direction to check since the interstate is 75-80 mph. Driving north on 1-39, exit on Hwy 12/18 West to Madison, then exit on Hwy 14/Park St, drive on Prk St for a ways and take a left on Regent St., 8 blocks or so up Regent is Camp Randall Stadium.
