DCI_Dadx2
Anytime, and apparently the Jackson judges thought everybody's scores needed to go down, some more than others, with the result that Revo placed ahead of Yamato. Not all scores dropped.

There has been talk of "all" scores dropping, when in fact, at least one corps had a season high. Seems the judges didn't think all had to come down, but did indeed see the need to close the gap between corps that finally met.
Eddie
Which wasn't all of the Corps at Jackson. In 2004, Yamato was getting trampled by OC at the beginning of the season, by a fairly good point spread (10 points or something like that). They were on separate days at the Oklahoma show, and also the first time both corps saw other groups. Yamato ended up making an incredible 8 point or something jump, beating out every corps there in D3 that day, The next day or something they were back facing off against OC and were within 2 points for thre remainder of the season. to add: Van Buren scores are still strange I think for D3. 1.6 point spread... that's fine by me, but the scores themselves I don't think should be that low. I mean, here.... Bill Barbour scores Yamato a 16.60 in Music Ensemble in Jackson. Todd Zimbelman was there that night judging Music Brass. Todd moves over to Music Ensemble for Van Buren and drops the score .9 points. That doesn't make sense, especially since Yamato has a history of having better ensemble scores than performance scores. But that's me rambling Edited August 4, 2006 by bari_benzo
