I had Dr. Cesario for a year at TLU in Seguin, Texas. The one you're talking about plays clarinet, right? Treats students kinda like middle schoolers? Kinda creep?
-
I wish Revo the best of luck in the coming season(s). The tuning ought to be a lot better w/ Bbs, so I'm expecting another high brass award.
-
Is that you Austin? Oh, and I was Lobsterboy in 2005 Revo...I didn't put sunscreen on often enough at the March camp.

Ok, I can never get over how clean this one sixteenth note run the sops have in Phantom's '05 show, it's kind of near the beginning, they're in these two small chevrons, and OMG, everytime I listen to that particular run, I just can't get over how clean it was and how hard they had to work on that one part. -

That would be my old high school marching band at Pflugerville High School...the Pfightin' Panther Band...though on the show they will be called Dillon High School. I loved the supersuits. -
Nice one Mike. I spoke to Carol earlier today about it, and we had a nice semi-long conversation on the subject. She said that she and Aaron would would do what they could for Crossmen, and they have both been helping at Reagan for years. So, to answer the question, just look at Mike's answer...and what will come for the XMen will come and we'll meet it when it does. I'm actually looking forward to Thanksgiving weekend myself. As to the vets that haven't aged out yet, if you really want to do it, you can find a way to do it. You'll find some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet in this state, and many of them are very generous with what they have. And the more people you ask to help, the better chance you have of doing it. I myself am willing to financially help with what I can for you who wish to continue with your Bones tradition.

If I'm not mistaken, Aaron Guidry and Carol Chambers (my ETSS professor at TLU) will be co-arrangers.
-
"As usual you are giving an answer to something you were not involved in or with." Just out of curiosity, CT-Horn...when were you involved with Revolution '05? If you weren't...well, just look at what I quoted you saying.
-
Yes, Jessica Ganem and Ruben Alejandre both marched in '03, when Revo was Div. II, and this year they are aging out with Revolution.
-
The only problem with G horns is they're really hard to tune well, though Revo is definitely good at making them work.
-
The intonation "problems" in Glassmen's show...that was the arranger's interpretation of how it would have sounded to Beethoven as he was progressively getting deafer. At least, that's what was said before their show at the DCI Cinema Live during Quarterfinals. And at that point in the show, as I thought about that, and then started hearing it, and then everything went completely silent...I started crying. A bold move by an arranger, and it definitely hit me emotionally.
-
Definitely. Big props to the Blue Stars for a nice comeback to Div. I. Welcome back to the big time! (Although Div. II and III this year is smokin')
-
Bluecoats are doing very well this year, if they bring their visual program up, they'll be back in 4th.

Div III Semis Review
revoeuph replied to DrumCorpsMom's topic in DCI (All) Corps Show & Event Reviews
No Revo review? -
It seems to me that if the other DIII corps' music can catch up to Revo's, they'll beat Revo. The GE caption (in Michigan City) has Raiders just .1 behind Revo, with Impulse .3 behind them, and Yamato .1 behind them. Visual actually has Impulse .3 above Revo. And Impulse is ahead of Revo again in the percussion subcaption, a first anyone I think has bested Revo's percussion all season if I'm not mistaken. Makes me wonder what went through Tim O.'s mind when he saw that.
-
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Or Ralph the Wonder Llama perhaps.
-
That was all the corps that were posted on DCI's website that were at Jackson.
-
That wouldn't surprise me, to be honest.
-
All the corps that went from Van Buren to Jackson the next day dropped in score, yes. Academy: 92.95 - 90.5 Oregon Crusaders: 91.2 - 88.5 Vanguard Cadets: 87.5 - 83.75 Memphis Sound: 84.5 - 80 Yamato: 80.05 - 74.35 Revolution: 78.7 - 75.95
-
It seems that it was mainly the percussion scores that brought a lot down, though Revo's percussion has been kicking ### all season, they went down 3 points in Jackson.
