Renegades Launch Rock'n Rocket 7 for DCA Tonight

Recommended Posts

Tonight the Renegades have launched their evil Rock'n Rocket 7 to the East Coast somewhere in Rochester for the DCA Championships. The corps has been in steatlh mode and plan to remain that way until touch down on the 50 yard line at Prelims. If you see a screaming blob of black sliding towards you near the end of their show you can predict with fair probability that your ears will begin to bleed shortly there after. Drum majors will be standing by to catch burning babies.

Look for a highly emotional performance. This year has been like no other. When you add the fact that every time the Renegades get together for more than two days magic happens on a phenomenal level.

Good luck to all.

Thursday evening onlookers reported a sighting of a seal standing guard wearing a white beret and a pink cape while the Rocket began to blow bubbles and lego's from it's tail engine pointed high in the air. A fine combination accents and rumbling rolls echoed the classic on field warmup known as RadhostFX. As well the sobering clean brass chords of F Tuning swelled the walls of the fuselage with the increasing volume.

A group of emo's lined up along the sidewalk and began to watch the evil color guard.

They held up sign reading 'epiphany', with no other explanation. Just standing and staring with one eye as they observed the rifle tosses. Expressionless mind you.

A report from the I&E competition will be coming shortly.

I&E Results

I&E results have been banned in all red states. Blue states have asked for special 48 hour hold and will be delaying the results for the remainder for the weekend. 1 dollar to Lee Rudnicki.

Prelims

The corps went on field in what seemed to be the most wind and rain ever. Several witnesses said the wind was so strong that the rain was actually moving sideways across the field. The all weather corps broke a score of 90 for the 4th year in a row at the DCA preliminary competition. Not bad at all considering they haven't performed together in the rain for 5 months. Infact some have never performed together in rain at all for that matter. West Coast fans and alumni reportedly broke out in mass online chat before the corps went on and continued to reflect on the corps as the show went on...in the rain...and wind...and cold. The big question for finals will be. Will the uniform jackets be dry for Sunday night?

This just in. Rochester has sold out every single blow dryer in town. Rumors of a soaking wet people in long black uniforms wearing sunglasses were walking the aisles of drug stores late Saturday evening with arms full of blow dryers.

Other reports of a 300 yard long powercord "pardon THAT pun', daisy chained together and inserted into a single power strip in the hotel lobby is beginning to raise the temperature to a toasty and familiar California climate.

Finals performance from all accouts was far better than prelims. The grass was green, the yard lines were visible and the lights were hot. Some sunglasses did fog up and a few heros were accounted for. Other wise the corps can be very proud of what they achieved this year. DCA finals status of the top 10 in the world 4 years in a row and counting. Including a record breaking penalty points in the same amount of time. It was me in 'O4 and it was who cares in '06. We love all of you guyz to the bone for you withstood 100 hurricanes this year and stuck to your belief in yourself as true Renegades! I drop down on one knee and give you :worthy: a slow motion drum corps salute. Rock on! 7
