So the feathers are actually held in by a screw(or something like) through the hole on the upward bill of the aussie. They're not just jammed in the side. And then use super glue or wire to hold the ends together? So do you take the plumes out when you store them or just leave them stuck in the hat? I'm sure that answer varies on who you are. megan_marie15 Posted September 21, 2006 Share Posted September 21, 2006 (edited) no the answer doesn't vary. the screws serve as a hinge so they can lie flat against the brim or go up in performance position on command. we leave them in unless you are working on your feathers or your aussie. or you are instructed to do so if it is raining.
