NEW YORK CITY; November 9, 2006: The New York Skyliners are proud to announce the latest additions to the 2007 instructional and design team. Blue Devils visual designer Jay Murphy has joined the Skyliners Design Team in the capacity of drill designer, and Santa Clara Vanguard program coordinator Mike McCool and Chris Nalls will consult in show design. Joining the brass staff, is award-winning DCA brass instructor Chris Bernotas, and two professional musicians from New York City, Sara Julian (low brass tech) and well-known trumpet virtuoso Joe Pero (who also works with Empire). Joining the 2007 Skyliners marching staff is Jeff Weir, who is also the Director of the United States Naval Academy drum and bugle corps.

The 2007 Skyliners show design is coming together well, and the consensus among the growing staff is that the 2007 Skyliners have a great show in store for them, a competitive and exciting show based upon what made Skyliners great over the years, without it being a simple re-hash of the past. The timeline is to hand out the opener at the Skyliners December Open House, and the entire show at the first January Camp.

The Skyliners are still accepting applications for the 2007 staff. Those interested can email Director Harry Eldridge Sr., at skydirector07@verizon.net
