Out of remembrance of friends lost and appreciation for our community, CorpsVets offers several different scholarships each year to help performers in different venues. The Jason Lowe Scholarship honors the memory of Jason Lowe, a young CV member and drum corps enthusiast who passed from cancer in the summer of 2001. This scholarship is open to all drum corps members. In 2006 the Jason Lowe scholarship was awarded to Michael Dooley of The Glassmen and Brian Lange of Memphis Sound. CorpsVets has enjoyed friendship with Spirit of JSU since our inception. The Lisa Abney scholarship honors both this inter-corps relationship and the memory of Lisa Abney. This scholarship is open to members of Spirit of JSU. In 2006 the Lisa Abney scholarship was awarded to Michelle Guest. Please go to the CorpsVets Web Site for complete instructions on how to apply for these scholarships. The deadline for these scholarships is February 28th, 2007.
