cheevan
If you check http://www.dci.org/corps/, you'd see 23 corps on the "member corps" list, including Capital Regiment, which is now inactive for the 2007 season; but what about the other 3 now inactive (for 2007 season) corps--KK, Esperanza, and the Magic? Apparently they are not "member corps" now. What's the difference between Cap Reg and the other 3? Oh, btw, have KK found their equipments back? I believe DCI allows one season of inactivity, but after that you lose membership and have to begin again at the Div. II/III level. I recall this being the case for Magic the last time they came back. If they come back yet again, they'll be like zombies. You can't kill a zombie. shawn craig
Yes I believe in the case of KK being inactive for a second year is most likely why they are not listed. As for Magic and Esperanze? I imagine that DCI officials know things we don't, including financial problems, status of things, and that it's likely one or both may never field again. :( Edited June 19, 2007 by shawn craig
Jami
also - they didn't make semifinals - does that have anything to do with it?
audiodb
No - I think you need three straight top-21 finishes for full member status, though (which still doesn't explain Magic).
