Skylinersop16
Assemble a team to work with you and delegate responsibilities. Pick a name, incorporate and file for 501©3 non profit status. The route the Conquistadors are taking that nobody really mentioned to me is to play to the strengths of the local community. For instance, in our area, there are not many competitive marching bands but the colorguard presence is huge. So, we are fielding a winterguard first to get the name out and some money in the bank before expanding to a drum line and then a horn line. Also, a well built, informative website is a must since a lot of exposure is through the internet.
Rap48
There is an Alumni All Age Corps in Dunkirk. They have a long history of All Age Corps.
DreaminMello
NY is rich in Drum Corps history. Talk to some seasoned Drum Corps folks there, they can help you. Always glad to hear of Drum Corps alive and well back home in NY.
