SuckyBoomBoom
Hi, I'm new to this community. I'm an antique sword restorer and seller and I recently acquired a sabre that was missing it's backstrap. I noticed that the Excalibur sabre hilt parts were sold seperately, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them? Specifically, I'd like to know the length of the grip, and the measurement of the heel?
84BDsop
Are you talking about an actual cavalry sabre or one used in the marching arts?? They're NOT the same (and I don't even mention sabres for Olympic-style fencing, which I teach)

I'm wanting to use the Backstrap of one to repair an old army sabre from the 1800s.
