Slow Adam
I was just on corpsreps, note Phantom's upward movement over the last few years 1999: 8th 2000: 7th 2001: 6th 2002: 5th 2003: 4th 2004: 5th 2005: 3rd 2006: 2nd maybe 1st? Camp Randall would go bonkers if Phantom won next year. ::fingers crossed::
bd5times
Looks to me that pattern would be 5th or 4th, then 2nd. Edited August 17, 2005 by bd5times
ContraMan
My personal opinion is that they're going in the right direction. They provide shows with LOTS of entertainment, great execution that is of a difficult catagory, and have an all around beautiful sound. Program-wise, they're figuring it out. Keep up the good work, Regiment.
Danhobl
The corps is clearly going in the right direction, and it's great to see. They should be a force in Madison. You know they've been planning their 50th anniversary show for years (probably). The guard and drumline has stepped it up to the level of the brass, and if they get a killer show next year, they could easily win. Madison would go nuts!!! Me included. Can't wait. I've learned something from watching drum corps the past few years. The shows I like each year are the ones most accessible to the fans, both visually and musically. I really liked the Cadets, Phantom and Crown this year. All 3 had very accessible shows - easy for the crowd to enjoy and get into. But I've also learned that all corps don't have accessible shows every year. They try out new things. Go for different looks. Different music. Etc. That's fine, because it advances the activity. And heck, I may have not liked Blue Devils at all this year, but next year their show could be completely different, and I could love it. That's very cool. Just my two cents. TommySopranoContra
Trends sometimes works sometimes doesn't. The Cavaliers rise in 1999 and staying the top 3 for a long time is probably a trend. After last year I thought Santa Clara was making a move to the top, then when the first competitions took place I knew that wasn't going to happen. :(
