  1. Dubuque is in Iowa... but I understand what you mean. There's a show in Des Moines this Thursday as well. That's about a 4 hour drive from the Twin Cities and should be great!
  2. marched in the guard: Colt Cadets '98-2000 Emerald Knights 2001 Blue Stars '02-'07 It's VERY odd being on the fan side now... and not being on tour for the first time in 10 years.
  3. I marched for so long yet never learned how the judging system worked..lol. It's so odd being on this side of things!!
  4. ok, thanks for the info!!
  5. but doesn't that kind of boil down to the same thing? musicality would be how well it fits and technicality how well they execute it? Just wondering. I guess I never really paid attention to recaps except for the guard.
  6. I'm by no means an expert, but maybe one's more the content and one's execution? I know it's that way for guard. FYI, Blue Stars were missing bass 5 tonight
  7. I love that it's not cut-and-dry. Top 8 being so close would be awesome!
  8. Yeah Blue Stars!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Crown! They're one of my favorite shows that I've seen this year, so I'm glad to see them scoring well!
  9. I remember this show! Tres entertaining!
  10. I marched the last 6 years with the Blue Stars. I can assure you, this is not the case. Yes, some people move to different corps (you'll have that even in the top 6), but the feeling of family you get while marching with BS makes most people stay. I'll admidt, when I went there in '02, I was planning on using BS as a stepping stone. By mid-season, I realized how much I loved the corps and by finals, there was no way I'd ever leave. I also have first-hand experience with the Colts organization and know that they have a large family-atmosphere as well. Both corps would be great choices. I have friends that started marching with me in Colt Cadets in '98 and stayed until they aged out last year. I know you've already corrected your "lesser-known" statement, so I'm not yelling at you, I just want you to look at the past few years and notice that both corps are growing and moving up in the scores. But congratulations, you seem like a person who wants to march because it's drum corps and a great experience, not so you can get a ring (of which Blue Stars have gotten 4 times, although not in Div I: '89, 93', '01, and '03--i've got mine that year) Feel free to PM me or AIM at flag4321. I always love to talk drum corps and I can answer any questions you have about Blue Stars and can answer a lot about Colts or find the answers via my close friends who march/marched there.
  11. Transformers anyone?! That would be amazing!
  12. the official show announcement has not been made. Hold your horses!
  13. that doesn't always translate well on here. Lets please all remain respectful. I don't want people thinking/saying things about me that would go against my morals and who I am. You don't want people misinterpreting your posts. Lets just all agree that musicains are HOT. done.
  14. first off.. things haven't "gotten steamy".. secondly, I can be attracted to someone physically but truely like someone else. If things were to "get steamy" (which isn't your buisness) I would be with that guy for him and because I cared about him. I hope that clarifies.
