I thought the show tonight was great. I was impressed with the Blue Stars. I tend to agree with some of the comments already said of Madison, like the show and I think that there is a lot of potential there. Bluecoats were fantastic, I hope that I get to catch them again this season. Cavies...love the show. I think the idea is cool and it is well executed. I hate to say this cause I know the topic has been beat to death, and I was willing to give it a chance but that fanfare of champions...blehhh. Seems to lack any sort of emotional connection with the crowd and while I tend to like trying new things, sometimes traditions stick around for a reason.

After watching the family day video I completely understand the look they were going for trying to maintain continuity of the stripe from the jacket to the pants, but that being said, just not a fan. Who knows maybe it'll be something that grows on me.

I bought a three valve soprano on ebay over the summer. It was in pretty good shape, but I did have to send it to my brass guy to get dents etc taken out and a chem clean. I think that you can find good horns on ebay you just need to know what you are getting into (ie: factor in the $ that you may need to spend to have work done on it). Overall, I think you can find great horns there if you have a little patience and are willing to put a little work into the horn.

I can't tell you what chord it is, but you might want to drop the cadets an email. I saw them play the THX chord in two different victory concerts back in 97. I am sure someone from that group could provide you with an answer.

I have used one for about six or seven years now, including college. If you are wanting to practice in the dorm it is probably one of your best alternatives. It was great to be able to practice and not bother anyone else. I would definately get one.
