  1. Good Luck! You could be the leader that OC needs to help it through this very tough time.

  5. Local drum corps preparing for 2007 season 10/17/2006 - The Western New York Alumni Drum And Bugle Corps will start its campaign for new members with positions open in the horn line, drum line and color guard. Instructors will be provided and no experience is needed. Our staff and instructors will teach anyone who applies himself or herself. The instructional staff consists of music arranger Rob DeSantis and drum instructor Ed Kujawa. The drum corps will offer an entertaining musical program featuring truly professional instruction. The first rehearsal is Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Frank Acquavia American Legion Post 1344, 221 Lake Shore Drive West. A group of men and women will get together to practice new music for the 2007 season. In the coming months, the group plans to mold music and marching into a smooth professional performance. Anyone who has the desire to experience new musical highs and enjoys the benefit of performing in front of the public is invited. It is the group’s desire that both membership and community at large will benefit from cultural and educational endeavors. For more information, call Bob Teclaw at 366-1840 or Joe Davis at 366-8302. I have no affiliation with this corps but thought that it needed to be posted here.

  7. Wow its a nice change but what happened to all the posts? Nice to have our own format.
  8. Its official.....Sounds on the Susquehanna is moving to the Binghamton Stadium. The Union Endicott Stadium was under mud and too much water to be able to be back in shape for the July 29th date. Directions will be posted on the http:www.soundsonsus.org website in the next 24 hours. The Binghamton Stadium is actually better for the spectators as it is closer to the field and the seating is better. The down side is there is limited parking so you may have to walk a little to get to the stadium...... Empire Statesmen, Buccaneers, Bushwackers, Brigadiers, Skyliners and White Sabers are on tap for the evening and it should be very exciting to see the top 4 corps head to head. Address for the stadium is: Alumni Stadium Binghamton East Middle School 167 Frederick St Binghamton, NY, 13901 For those coming from the south, use Exit 3 of I 81 to get to the stadium. Those coming from the north and west would use Exit 4. Please pass the word to all that you know are planning to attend the show. Thanks alot. 10. Yep the show will go on no matter what. If it can't happen at Union Endicott High School(I believe it will and so does the show sponsor) it will happen at the Binghamton stadium. Harry, thanks for giving us a bump up to the top. Benjy Van Kurin Spectrum Executive Director http://www.spectrumwinterguard.org
