2005 is def not gettign the credit...but i thik their most underrated show in recent memory has to last year 2004...what an amazing amazing show. musically so solid and the effects and all that they added drill wise...wow..easily the best overall show last year and in my opinion in about 5 years..i still think they should have won.....but that is me...but yeah def an uinderrated show and takes a back seat to alot others.

do you know how loud it would be in madison next year if the blue stars were to make finals and the announcer announces the # of years since they were in DI finals....would be so so loud...wow would be amazing.

last season the blue stars did a performance in brookfield, missouri for stanbury uniforms. and it was amazing the whole company and town came to just watch us. it was so electric and fun. not a competition..but still wow i remember it so well!!

along with all the things aid for division I. i have to say division II is hte biggest suprise. it is a stacked year 6 corps are all within a couple points of each other and the competion is tight. along with that the Oregon crusaders and Blue Stars...they have both made the jump up from Div III to II and ulitmately I and with the products that these corps are putting out they could could be legit semi qualifiers their first years of division I. and also in a day when corps are having toruble and folding that these two are coming back strong. the crusaders from their begining and the blue stars back to the DI power they once were.

the bluecoats switched to stanbury unis when the did redo them. these uniforms rock!!! they also make phantoms and the blue stars too. very very high quality adn they look so so sharp!!

umm pioneer did their's like 3 years ago. one that hasn't changed much in the past 25 years is the blue stars.....not much change ever just modifications

ok i will edit mine a little bit on SCV..i like the white as it is a change and does look very shapr on the field. i just think that there needs to be a little more variation in the uniform. for me personally and this is just me...the all red and white seems to over power..again this is just me.

Well as it is every year corps are changing their uniforms to update and what not. so what is your take...... here is mine... SCV...ok i love you guys and your show...but too much white you guys..to me persoanlly it looks like madison with red coats. bring the green!!! Kavaliers...i prefer all black but still ok with the red added in. Southwind..on the hats..interesting take Madison...I love the addins on the uniform this year!!!! VERY NICE!!! Cadets..umm yeah..still on the fence..but very creative and unique. so what are your guys and gals thoughts on the uniforms and whatnot.....not just this year too like anyother uniforms you want to comment on!!

they had a couple of rehearshal days and did a show for stanbury uniforms in missouri and then did a clinic in indy at teh RCA Dome and had a DCM show where they beat pioneer by 2 pts on dca sheets. they are performing in a DCI show tomorrow in middletown, WI. then rehershal on monday, show tuesday and wednesday, rehershal in LAX on thursday and their home show on friday. So be watching for those current scores and the cleaning of the show...it is rockin!!

good bad or indifferent......in my case i tear up when i hear it.....03 phantom was one of the most defining moments of drum corp...and be it a first place (scv 89, bd 76) or not (scouts 95,99) <--- (these are my defining) it will be a show that people remember and that is what this acitivity is all about. the performers, the audience, and the heart. who cares if there were mistakes that means that there was actually emotion in the show and when you get that rush mistakes will happen. oh well can still be an amazing show...the hit at the end wow that is what drum corps is all about... let the show be good, bad or indifferent....it was memorable

has anyone done the music from the movie silverado?? it is tight and on another note we shoule see a ABBA show...take a chance on me, dancing queen, fernando, and mama mia.......can u say 99.16 :P

but it is true no one has done ti for ever it would be cool to see a corp try and do a retro show.

ummm take a listen to the 73 Blue Stars and listen to the number after holst suite for band/first fedral march and u will hear (drum roll) Battle Hymn.....done and done ohh ohh....a newer piece called finnish folk songs...very cool and could be powerful. an on the contemp side how about it's my life by bon jovi ohh or the entire SPAMalot soundtrack (be jsut liek JCSS circa Madison '99)

they are building very very quickly. and while the 60 rooks was close the number is actually up around 70-80. they are marching at the dcm championships this weekend and it will be interesting what changes are made to the show after a couple days off.

given it is still really early in the season...but does anyone else notice how much higher the west and east coast scores are compared to the midwest?? i think alot of this can be attributed to the fact that the midwestern corps...aka blue stars do not have the same competeion that these other corps do. if you look at a score recap the west and east coast shows have 2-3 div II competeing while at most midwest shows there is only 1 div II competeing. again jsut want to reiterate that scores mean nothing until finals week. and i can not wait to see this years head-to-head competition between the top corps!!
