If you check the web page you will notice Lee Shields is no longer on the BOD. A shame, I have met Lee, and he is a great guy, old timer with a heart of gold! He is in it for the kids, something rarely seen in drum corps these days. Seems like there has been a big shake up in the BOD in the last two years, years that have taken them fom 11th, to 21st. I know many people in the Orlando area who wish the youth of Magic nothing but the best. Florida needs and deserves a first class corps! But unfortunatly, the current administration has a very bad habit of treating people who give their best like dirt. Terms like "the peanut butter and jelly days" and "What about you Steph"? do not fare well with people who were doing their best with the funds they were given. Also, firing the past two directors on the spot also causes some eyebrows to rise. I'm not saying Magic is on the wrong path, but it does make one wonder.

I've said for years.............If Troopers moved to Vegas they would be back in the top 12 within a matter of years!

Magic has this same sort of forum on their web page, perhaps you could find some members there. From what I hear, just about every member from this past summer does not plan on returning to Magic, just some food for thought...........

1. The DCI site is still allowing voting 2. Why not just take the 14,000 votes away? Something is fishy! You sure Hoppy isnt just blowing a gasket? Did you read todays Bolg? Sounds like he is having a little bit of a breakdown......

This is the story I have heard.............. Zingali yelled "What a Maneuver" to the corps in his very thick North Shore Boston accent during a rehersal. It was overheard by fans sitting in the stands. As a tribute, those same fans (Freelancers maybe?) yelled it at the 1992 show. It has been yelled throughout the years, and can be heard in many of the Cadets recordings......

Is there such a thing as "worst corps ever"? As long as there is dedication, and the desire to learn, they are all the "best kids ever" in my book!

Great review, I agree with most of the things you said, but would just like to add two small things.... 1. The announcer, I'm pretty sure he has a heart of gold, and means very well, but after two evenings, well I'm just about worn out! If you were there you know what I am talking about. 2. To the Magic administration members who insist on hanging around the souvie wagon smoking cigars................Do you really think that cigar smoke helps your souvie sales? Your T-Shirts probably reek of smoke! On to the next show.......
