If they were, I didnt see it. I had a good vantage point of all of the top 6 corps. I CAN say that there were MANY Bluecoats on the phone and doing other things that are not supposed to be part of retreat and I observed no other corps doing that. Lets show some respect to finals night (and the only retreat of the year) and do it right. Also leaving the field and singing songs about beating other corps is another sign of low class behavior. Bluecoats had a GREAT year and did amazing things, no doubt. But PLEASE think about how you carry yourself, it does matter!
I again say, there were no cell phones being used by Cadets, Cavies, Devs, Phantom, Madison. These were the corps in my plain sight. I watch the whole thing and noted how poorly Bluecoats were behaving DURING retreat as opposed the corps around them.
If you want to talk about class on the retreat block, Devs isn't nessicarily the corps I'd be bringing up.
lol I would agree with that statement. As for what goes on the field, I know that you can either watch from the stands or stand on the field, but you will not see the top corps behaving like that (cell phone thing). I have been around and in the activity enough to know that. Back to my original statement, I thought that the Coats were better than that and I was disapointed to observe these things.
Congrats Bluecoats and staff for a great season and a strong finish.
Now please work on handling success with class, not having cell phones on the field at retreat and show respect to the other corps after being rewarded. These were personally observed behaviors that I found to be a serious let down from what I thought was a great organization.
