  1. Bridgemen's best years offered some of the best drumline hornline highlights and when they started kicking some of the traditional shows it was excellent. Mad everyone better. I would love to see a corps come out and wake up the fans. I was watching some shows from the 70s and 80s and lamenting the fact that corps identity's have disappeared. Some of the lower top 12 corps could switch uniforms and you wouldn't know the difference. I yearn, yes I yearn for someone to bring back a corps that people will stand up night after night and still be talking about almost thirty years later. (Not talking about any style other that the Bridgemen/VK)
  2. Here are quick hits: 12) Spirit-they need to hold on to 12th. Major lack of clarity in the beginning of the show in the hornline. 11) Glassmen-no real connection to the crowd in our seating area. It is nice but lacks something. You can tell they geared it their European Tour 10) Madison Scouts-good opening moments and closing moments. Not as strong as usual. 9) Boston-I am trying to remember something that sticks out. It was good but not memorable. 8) Blue Knights-they can play their book and while there was some feet issues-it is a judges show-no fan connection around me in the whole section. 7) Santa Clara Vanguard-always great to see them. This hornline was either very young or very tired. They put a story together again and get the crowd into the show. 6) Crown was very, very good overall. I liked them. Balance in all captions. 5) Cadets-nice connections. Something missing in the hornline. Too much going on-crowd enjoyed it. This show is not there yet. 4)Bluecoats-they are amazing. This is something to see. Nice in all areas and you can tell getting very confortable in presenting it. 3)Phantom Regiment-Best balanced hornline of all night. This show is one of their best ever from all areas. Devils had better watch a caption they could grab on them. 2) Blue Devils-Solid, my son loved the show. Hard to find anything to say than to say wow! 1) Cavaliers-it was a machine. They have the whole package too. Very well thought out and sold to the audience. It was a nice evening even with the short rain delay. FFF
  3. Promise Keepers is this weekend @ Philips on Friday and ends Saturday so there should be hotels for Saturday night as the 18,000 plus guys head out. My son and I are attending PK and then coming over for finals with seats on the third row. We are staying on the outskirts of Austell in Cobb County and riding MARTA in on the Hamilton E. Holmes station. Done it for Thrasher games and several OK events. Straight shot and works well. Hotels around $60. www.itsmarta.com
