  1. I think I've even see one of them in a Yankee-Rebel uniform too.
  2. Great show buy all competing corps. It's going to be a horse race between Empire & Cabs the rest of the year. It was great to see Scout House Bugle Band. 6, count 'em 6 glockenspeils! Sure brought back alot of memories. ( For you younger members, Madison & Cavies carried glocks back in the day) Cabs Alumni; you blew the place apart, & that's coming from an old competitor too. Thanks for all your hard work. I still love to play but "DRIL" is a four letter word!
  3. #109: On the left is the lovely and talented Billy Kaufman. Man, that guy never ages. Guy on right???????
  4. Guess Who? From the angle of the shot, I'd say you were right, Gerry was the culpret. He never did like me!
  5. Regarding picture #98: Definite bad camera angle. I've got a luxurious mop of silver hair, as Marty & Jim C. can attest to. It's amaizing how a cheap camera can add 20 years............Oh well, you're only young once, but you can be immature forever, that's why we do drum corps.
  6. How about some Jersey "oldies but goodies" like Ballantine Brewers , Perth-Amby Dukes, & Carver Gay-Blades
  7. I was in the stands that night & I still would love to know where Muchacho's would have placed. I personally know they were not the only corps with overage members, they were just the only one CAUGHT.
  8. Good review Marty. It was a great show. Really enjoyed seeing all the old friends, the music & of course, the turkey dinner. I'm constantly amaised that any time I see Steel City, that Riggy is still playing. When they took the stage, Fran announced that Riggy Laus was 82 & still playing a single-valve, slide (not even rotor) horn. That horn alone, is too old to march DCI! Rumor is that Riggy saw one of my fellow members of the Buc's Alumni back stage, who's 75, & said "have a good show kid!" I got to see alot of old friends, & one from Reilly had a profound obesrvation, & this isn't a profound observation kind of guy. His comment was that alumni corps was helping to keep us young. I know he meant mentally, but I agree. I guess the old adage it right: You're only young once, but you can be immature forever!...................................Go Buc's
  9. If home base was a little further north, maybe...........the "Panhandlers" Could also help with fundraising. LOL Hope to catch some of the rehersals when I start snowbirding, next month. Best of luck,
  10. Cheer up Marty, remember, you were a charter member of the Brookhaven Crusaders Hall of Fame. Congrats to all the 2007 inductees. Ron C.
