  1. Not really a parade, but a "non-usual drum corps performance." In 03 we were set to play a standstill for an opening of some store in a mall (or maybe the mall itself? I don't really remember). However, the mall was already open and people were going in and out of the wall-mart that was in the front of it. Strangely that was where they wanted us to play. So we performed an entire standstill and worked on pieces of the show for about 5 people that had stopped their shopping to watch us and one really confused looking security guard.
  2. sorry about that Eric. Who marched this year from 02 then?
  3. Since Nikk's topic demolished mine with wonderful prose and is more likely to be read by Regiment members...a shameful repost: For myself: Thank you Regiment members for making me proud. Thank you JD, Rabon, Dan Farrell, Dr. Dan, and all the other design/music staff for creating such a magnificent show. Thank you Jamie, Dwight, Jay, Tony hall and all of the drill writters and consulters for all your work. This year's product was, in my opinion, the best visual design and execution from Regiment ever. Thank you Rennick(s), Corey, Nick, and all the percussion folks. What a smoking year. Thank you Adam Sage (although I don't know you), for communicating a breathtaking story through the guard. Thank you support staff. There are far to many of you to name here, but a special thanks to Gail. Thank you Pat for your leadership and for running such a tight ship. Thanks Josh, Malory, and someone who I swear is Little Eric, but apparently is not, what a year to go! And Buicks...this year had SAK! SUTA
  4. loud-is-good, yep, this is "clark kent"...well than who am I thinking of? I just talked to him on tour... marched in 02 through 06 I believe, unless he took a year off.
  5. As a strict vegan (no dairy/animal products), I found that everyone was very receptive, kind, and rescourseful in terms of my diet restrictions. Sometimes things were a bit difficult, (such as when the food truck was low on supplies and waiting for a shipment...so PBandJ was pretty much it), but I would think that any corps would be receptive enough to work with you.
  6. Since the other "Regiment gets second/congratulations/etc" thread has moved on to a discussion about corps names... here's a place to thank Regiment members, staff, support staff, etc for this year's show. And what a fantastic one it was. For myself: Thank you Regiment members for making me proud. Thank you JD, Rabon, Dan Farrell, Dr. Dan, and all the other design/music staff for creating such a magnificent show. 7. I hail from Grand Rapids, not really Kzoo, but closeish. I'd be willing to make the drive for some ESPN 2 if there was a nice tv system in it...
