  1. Calling hours for Ray Shahin are at Harris Funeral Home (corner of Titus and Kings Highway, in Irondequoit, NY) on Sunday 1 to 4 and there will be a graveside service at Irondequoit Cemetery on Culver Road Monday at 10 A.M. All are welcome to both
  2. I've inquired and looked everywhere, myself. I got a message from someone who said they were doing their best with the resources they had, but the corps were the priority. I don't know about you, but I was very frustrated to hear that. That person also said that in the old days, they had to wait for scores to be published in Drum Corps World, which just added to my frustration. I'm not sure who to contact at this point. If you get any news, please let me know
  3. I'm with you GHorns. Many competed and want to know their scores and inform those who play in ensembles. If I missed, when and where to expects this info to be posted, I apologize.
  4. I think DCI has taken the art and sport of drum corps to incredible levels, but at what cost? What is DCI doing to grow the activity? The barrier of entry to even exist, much less compete, is so high, that many aren't able to survive. Of course I'm assuming that DCI even cares about the future of the activity, but there doesn't seem to be an investment by DCI to develop new corps. I think WGI is better in that way. DCI's mission may simply be to create an Elite group of corps, leaving an opportunity for another drum corps association to fill the gap. Maybe DCA fills that gap. Unfortunately, it does seem that group activities like drum corps are less popular among today's youth. I'm sure there are pockets around the country that are an exception, but does anyone share that view? Very curious in what others think on this
  5. Thanks DCP for keeping us all in the loop!
  6. I just got home from Paetec Park right after the Bucs finished. My ride wanted to leave before scores. Could be interesting when the smoke clears and I don't mean from the fireworks
  7. Any predictions based on tonight's performances?
