  1. The Lehigh Valley Knights have 4 great seats in Section 131 for Div 1 Quarter Finals. They are being sold at face value $30/each. You can buy the tickets at their souvenier stand at Valdosta on Sunday or II/III prelims on Tuesday. If you have any questions, e-mail me at chris@corpsreps.com.
  2. Great review, Mike. Thanks again for the transportation and the late night tour of Austin. Agreed with Mark W that the drums outside the stadium were distracting. Warming up I can (maybe) understand, but someone was still playing when Phantom (the last corps) was on. Certainly they weren't warming up. Overall, not a bad job for a first year show. Just need to teach the crowd that when a corps troops the stands, you stand and applaud. The announcer could have helped the situation by saying "let's here it for ..." or something like that.
  3. Pictures from Leander, Houston and San Antonio are now at corpsreps.com. Pictures from the San Antonio evening show were taking from way up in the 300 level at the end zones, quite a different view from the usual pictures I take.
  4. Few corrections: Cavaliers turned the Muchachos in, not Troopers. It was 1974 that Muchachos placed 4th. Definitely a shame that show is not on the DVD. There's got to be video somewhere.
  5. Still lots of open slots for e-mail drop volunteers. This only works if we have people to deliver the messages. The kids love this service. So, if you are going to a show this summer, please be sure to sign up. Thanks. Corpsreps.com Chris
  6. I am pleased to announce that the Hip Pickles will be presenting a concert to benefit the Penncrest High School Band. If you live anywhere near the Philadelphia area, please come out to this concert. As the one who arranged for this to happen I'm hoping for a great turn out so we can do more concerts like this. Here are the details: Date: March 1, 2003 Time: 7:00 pm Place: Penncrest High School, Media PA 19063 Price: $5 in advance / $7 at the door $4 in advance - groups of 10 or more If you are interested in advance sales, feel free to contact me by e-mail or PM. The Hip Pickles – a 3 person percussion ensemble – offer a unique style that is an exciting blend of drumming, singing, hip choreography, humor, and audience participation. The show is high energy, interactive and fun — music with a message. Together the Hip Pickles and the audience explore the exciting world of percussion, the adventure of music making and important concepts for success. Chris
  7. Not this year. He may be doing some of the arranging but no active teaching. I'll miss having him around. He is a first class guy! Ray also worked with CorpsVets last year. Haven't heard if he is continuing in that role.
  8. I stopped by Crossmen camp last night. Got to hear them working on Strawberry Soup and then a full run through. Visually this is going to be a big step up for Crossmen. The new horns sounded great, lots of power and volume! Guard looks strong as usual, as does the percussion. This will be a very entertaining show and hopefully will fare well competitively. Chris
  9. I'll be there but wasn't planning on doing a review. Chris chris@corpsreps.com
