  1. Never mentioned another corps in this topic. just asking a question . put since you opened it . OK. I wish Crossmen did NOT try and push the envelope on the planets ( which worked ) and Medea ( which did not ). I love the original pieces and wish they stayed true to them. Taking a familiar piece and changing it to push the envelope or make it your own or trying something different with it is always a crap shoot. IMO
  2. How does rehashing music from 35 years ago push the activity? that does not answer the question. That was BLAST , and THAT was almost 10 years ago. ( blind faith is not your best color)
  3. the design team has chosen to re hash Music from 35 years ago how is that pushing the activity ?
  4. I doubt they were even the loudest that year. not that that matters much its not 1972 anymore. Jimmers best work seems to be as a purist to the original scores. will that will work with used material ? in 2010 ? He usually comes through.
  5. Someone tell Jimmy Steele that WINNIE THE POOH IS NOT FROM OZ.
  6. 2010 STARTS NOW ! The 2010 season begins in just under a month with the first of three Crossmen eXperience camps in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston. All three camps serve as round 1 of auditions for the 2010 Crossmen Drum Corps as well as a two day drum corps experience for those who just want to see what World Class Drum Corps is all about! The first camp is at Forney High School, in east suburban Dallas, TX. This is the second year that Forney High School has served as host to the Crossmen Dallas camp with over 200 talented students attending in 2009. The following weekend, Johnson High School in San Antonio will serve as the site of the second eXperience camp, which also saw 200 plus potential future Crossmen last year. New to 2010 is the Houston eXperience camp. The corps is in the final stage of securing the hosting site and by all indications, the Houston camp is shaping up to be one of the best yet. "We are a month away and we have record numbers pre-registered for the 2010 eXperience camps" said Mark Chambers, corps director. "It is our goal to see over 200 participants at each site" As a reminder, all potential members for 2010 must attend one of the three eXperience camps. Veteran members of the corps are required to attend as well as it serves as the intial audition for corps membership. Spots are still available for all three camps. For more information or to register, CLICK HERE for a link to the membership page of the Crossmen webpage. Please help us spread the word.
