Does anyone else find it odd the Crossmen have gone up only .3 over 4 shows? I find it hard to believe they've only improved. 3 over the course of a week
I love that opening too! Got some good power to it...the corps usually has a nack for putting out powerful intros...listen to '98 and you'll know what I mean!
Spent 3 days with the corps (Thurs-Sat). Loved my time there. The organization is definitely continuing down the right path. The busses are nice, they eat well (we made them chicken-fried steaks, among other things) and the staff has great people all around. It should be noted they did a good job with changes considering Friday pretty much was a washout for them. I think they spent a total of 3 hours outside on Friday. Got to spend a little time with the Dogs and got to give them the flag for the year. They are a great group of kids and I loved getting to know them. Hope to get a picture of the section with the flag posted soon. Keep pushin' Crossmen!
Congrats on the jump in score last night Crossmen! Nice to see the Colts place below them too :P Keep up the hard work and use those upcoming rehearsal days to your advantage! Can't wait to spend some quality time with the Dogs next week too
That's fairly encouraging. I'm hoping that they bump up the tempos of the opener and closer (which should add some velocity to the drill), add a little more to Spinning Wheel, and fill out the ballad a little more. Can't wait to hear it in person over three days of volunteering in Minneapolis!
Is it just me or does anyone else see flugels in that picture too? Please tell me that the corps is bringing back the flugelhorns! and way to go contras!
