  1. haha!!! i know exactly what you mean!!! An extra half an hour is sometimes a godsend....oh man- some of those mornings are rough ones... Anyways- my opinion is that it did save time. By the time the scored were announced we were off and ready to leave. In the past we'd have a meeting after retreat then have to get out of uniform, put them up and put up the horns and then eat. Then gather everyone on the buses. Lack of retreat probably saved our corps a good hour to two hours. I personally liked not having to be all nasty and sweaty in uniform, and plus being out of uniform gives you several freedoms.... Also- someone mentioned not seeing the corps after you??....i definitely got to see the corps after mine all summer long....
  2. I know he aged out Cadets but i thought he was from Mississippi- but i guess he could have moved... ok end of Cap Reg opener "This-is-a-Jay Bocook Ending!" and end of the show "Jay-Bo-Cook!" Cap Reg 05 : "Kill me now!Kill me now! AHHHHH!" and the same place in the opener "Dutdutdut!dutdutdut! WEEEE!" also back when we were first learning part 3 : "Pass the gosh darn butter! Pass the gosh darn butter!" Dave Kirby in 05 but alluding to CR 03- "Our horns are at a friggin carry!" to the doxology in CR 04 "I put goldbond in--my---craaaack!Because i am really faaat!" thats all i got i think (that hasnt already been mentioned)
  3. I agree completely...right on! I didnt like Blue Devils show, but they couldnt be placed any lower, they did put out a cleaner show than Bluecoats, end of story.
  4. Someone in my corps this past summer (Cap Reg) was marching on a fractured ankle for a couple weeks... props to Melissa! Also...looking at those pics- daaaaang! that has got to hurt!
