The judges weren't boxed in. They talked about giving the cadets a perfect score before they ever went on the field that night.

I aged out with Spirit that year. Bad show and worse uniforms but still had a great time. I loved the Cadets percussion book.

My first Drum corps show: Grant Field 1983.....Blue Devils playing Paradox was the most unbelievable thing I'd ever seen. In the following years I must admit feeling a little disappointed because the shows never quite lived up to the experience from the first year.

I've heard Rob Carson may have been one of the best. Who else?
