  1. Cadets 08..."Sarah, you really left alot of broken hearts." (or something like that) heard in our section, "Sarah, you slut."
  2. Your rehearsal field markers are halves of tires painted white. ....You're NOT a redneck if you ask for just one grit.
  3. When your bus is pulled over by the hiway patrol and the driver flicks the ash of her cigarette on the officer. or The deer that the bus just hit is strapped to the food truck.
  4. Sorry, Mr Judge, That sabre's gotta hurt.
  5. One of the years after that, they did something that really made no sense, they painted the inside bell white! Looked like marching toilets. :P
  6. GREAT PICS! I wondered if any existed. Toledo, Key to the Sea. BTW, the drum major in the top picture clapping us onto the field is Keith Hall who is owner of the BandHall company that supplies much of the flag material color guard uniform designs for drum corps today.
  7. 1977 Madison Scouts. White shirt with the emblem on the left chest. It was my good luck shirt through high school, though it got pretty snug. Got it at the Gadsden, AL, Battle of the Brass.
  8. That week in Denver was probably the reason we made finals.... It was the only time we ever got a chance to practice all summer. The best "fun" was the 2 day race across country for Allentown.
  9. 5. It took 4 strappin' guys to play timpani and timpani had cranks? The smallest girl in our line played timpani. Sandy might have weighed 90 lbs, never complained, and made us all ashamed to ask for water.
