  1. no worries. pointless to feed a troll -- it just encourages them. so the ol' can of polish has gone *plonk* for good.
  2. so.... we heard that Crown was auditioning for a member to sing. but afaik no such singing has surfaced yet. wonder if the kibosh was put on the voice or if they're just waiting for ST to add it in.
  3. yeah using a remote terminal to access your home pc to click some buttons. works -- but not really practical for all users. (and i suspect there's a EULA you clicked through that says you don't really have permission to rip the stream.)
  4. and Bluecoats won because their guard was 1st. no WAIT! and "framing visuals"? what is this ? the 80's?
  5. 161 words.. no content. i'd usually post the egg-man to those sort of posts but...he's so yesterday.
  6. 2003 and yeah I think Crown '17 will look and sound quite a bit different. In a good way.
  7. What's getting under Brasso's skin here is that anyone might say a word less than complimentary about the departed staff. If he actually read what other's posted, he wouldn't be so shocked to hear that there were those who took issue with some design choices made during their stay at Crown. But reading what other actually write has never been his strong point. P-M-T put together some great shows. But expectations at Crown are very high. There's a very strong feeling of "don't let the performers down". Look at '14 -- PMT clearly admitted they were going to "figure out" the tramps as the season wore on. That's fine if you can make it happen. But if you invest all that time and treasure in those props and they end up being perceived a fatal flaw, well it's not a good thing. Same can be said of last year and the stagecoach. PMT decided to make that thing one-sided (at $10k an expensive prop)) and it forced awkward staging moments into the show that just didn't need to be there (and because of the coach design, couldn't readily be fixed). Now sure -- you can sit back and say "Crown has been doing extremely well! How can anyone possibly complain?" The fact is when you move into those lofty heights, your expectations do change. Starting a season with a big design flaw goes from "hey we'll figure it out" to "hey you didn't do your homework". Brasso wants to crow about BAC's new staff. In fact not only does he crow about Boston, he's crowing about Pride (who he's never mentioned in the past but now is somehow worthy of his crow-age). And if anyone dare say something less than glorious about his new shiny staff, he's apparently going to go full on G.I. Joe on them. OTOH he doesn't want to crow too much -- because they all want to keep their expectations super secret. So he's going a little off his golf cart. It's fine. We all understand, ol' can of polish.
  8. apparently Brasso is determined to keep misquoting me. not sure what brought on this last bout of misquoting, but he's a one-track kind of poster!
  9. And when you don't want to respond, you simply try to change the subject! (like complaining about a gif !)
  10. and I stand by that -- KP was gone and LM had been the subject of debate here many many times. MT was a real shocker (at least at the time I made this post it was). Subsequently , as details emerged, it was certainly far less of one. The only spin here is you misquoting me from a post I made in August of last year. And one needs to ask "WHY"? Apparently because you didn't like that I dared to post in the BAC thread. Hmmm. Otay Buzz. You keep on saving DCP!
  11. lol suuuurrrrrrreeee you do, can of polish.
  12. wait. you're not insulted but you think it's derogatory? keep posting, good buddy!
  13. unless of course they go back and look at the whole thread. there were many, many comments about LM's drill being too predictable and recycled. and KP stated in the MRT podcast he and Crown had already parted ways BEFORE he got the offer from Boston. so no -- i don't think Crown expected those departures. i'm just suggesting that perhaps Crown was already looking at some future changes. anyone who suggests Crown expected all those changes at once is an idiot -- it was clear that at least some of them were surprises. but -- as i said in the original post -- that's all speculation on my part. i made no claim to direct knowledge. but according to you -- speculation on my part is a statement of fact on your part. keep swingin' and missing Buzz.
  14. heck the Crown guard didn't win with the old staff! just one time out of many, many chances. Brasso's new theory (freshly adopted since they acquired this guard staff) that it's all about the guard will certainly be put to the test.
  15. typical inaccuracies aside, it's not pretty close -- it's completely accurate. first your ran from the money. now you're running from your expectations. it's all good.
  16. hmm so i make it clear it's just a honk and not a prediction. so i make it clear that I THINK they can do it. and i SUSPECT that they may have happened (but no time frame reference). hardly statements of fact or even predictions. of course you edited that all to say "CB has stated" and "according to CB". oops -- yeah you edited the context completely out. and no where do i state that Crown "expected" those departures. as for FNBB -- I'm not sure why you would consider that an insult. I would think that any corps who as lots of money to spend on hiring away staff from top corps would be PROUD of their financial resources. But apparently you are insulted by them. but whatever. i'll make a clear prediction here: Crown will be just fine thank you very much. I'm looking forward to what they bring to the field.
  17. it's clearly a dirty word in this thread with multiple posters bending backwards to avoid it.
  18. i see you've graduated from editing my posts to just making stuff up. nice.
  19. source? because the number of millennial disconnecting from traditional media sources (CATV) is still growing.
  20. wow. you not only removed most of my (very old) post but you actually edited my words to fit your needs. all to make your powerful point which was "Watch out you may be overhyping" . we see your true colors, shining through!
  21. The anti-hype in here is deafening You're quite correct -- expectations are extremely high regardless of what you see from some DCP posters. There have been plenty of "dream teams" brought in to various programs over the years. Sometimes things work out -- sometimes not so much. It will entertaining to watch the anti-hypers in here react to either of the possibilities.
  22. Probably for the same reason he didn't watch it live? It's a DVR world. Heck TV programs and DCIFN knew that-- you could watch live events when it was convenient for you to do so. Now -- if you know of a stream-recorder that will launch, navigate the web interface, find the correct stream, and record it automagically, please send me the link!
