  1. How great it was seeing all of you "ON THE FIELD AGAIN" and how we used to do it...Before you were all competing and now you are having fun with it...Talk about "FULL CIRCLE"....I think this is another to consider... I loved meeting all you guys and finally putting a face on my friends...The very first was Larry Bell and I couldn't miss him in his SKEK uniforms...I haven't seen those uniforms in a long, long time... I wish I had of seen more of you...and had more time.. I missed the very end as my brother had another commitment to go to and his wife was waiting for him...his son is a drum instructor for a B_ND (LOL) and he had to go video record 20 bands for him... All the corps were great and I was surprised at the size and the power...The solosist were awesome..the drummers are still marching like the "Proud Bunch they are" to be leading their buddies down the field..... As for the Volunteers...the music they are playing is awesome and good for them for the different repertoire... really is neat having something different and they do it very well love the new music... Any volunteers for teaching an "Oldie the horn all over again??? Forgot to mention...I don't read music.....everyone has tried and it is a hopeless case...I am also Tone Deaf...right Rip??? ROFLMAO!!! I don't sing...Guess Who??????
  2. My prayers and thoughts go to you and all your friends and family...I pray she gets well fast and you are strong to help her....keep that positive attitude...and God will help!!! She has to get well to read all these beautiful thoughts on here...Marlene (from all the Bon Bon's and the Drum Corps 60-70's site)
  3. I AM LOOKING FOR ANY INFO ON THE DIEIGO ALLIANCE DRUM CORPS OUT OF MAINE http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/mainedrumandbuglecorps/ This is a letter from a website in regards to it...id anyone has any info write to kmbrown1@comcast.net or log into the Drum Corps site of the 60s and 70's...or http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/drumc...ofthe60sand70s/ As far as Dirigo alliance, we had guard working and drums working i actually was on the line and teaching the line twords the end. We had horns in the works before we folded. The drums that Atlantic Guardian played on originated from that corps. They got sent to AG when dirigo folded. We i think tried to go to big to fast they wanted to field a full corps that first year. It was a good start when we started, but in an area that had not seen a corps and a competitive marching band in many years with the only one around being Lawrence (my alma mater) it was hard to get the numbers though the door. We had alot of kids from skowheagan and from Lawrence in the DL and one from OOB that went on to march AG then Spartans in 05 and 06 and now is off to the marines. The biggest problem was the lack of kids coming in the door. I had to literally on occasion drag people so we would have the full DL present. Over all it was a great experience and i don't think i would of done AG let alone this year without starting there. I am still in touch with some of the people that were in Dirigo and it wasn't a well known out there corps, but i think if given time it could of had better out comes then it did. Derek & Marlene

  9. That was taken in a Hotel in Baltimore where we had a contest but the Bon Bons were not in it so we took a train down from Jersey... The guy in the center was or is the DM of Scout House Alumni now... I am in the dark dress and my friend is Joan Somers from the Bon Bons also... She lives in Ohio now...I am still in Joisey and never left... The other two guys were identified but I lost the names... I would like to find out who they are... Thanks, Marlene

  13. Hello, This is Marlene and I would like to answer your questions as to why...I am 71, retired and living on just SS and I wanted a digital camera and I thought the best way was to earn some monies by selling some pics on Ebay as i saw another gentlemen doing it..I only attend Reilly, Archies , Rebels shows and maybe DCA in Rochester...and I wanted a camera to take pics there....I wrote to him and he said he had no problem...go ahead and do it... I won't mention names as we all probably know him. A lot of photos are just old photos (No photographer) was the plan...I don't remember ever taking pictures from this site but I may have although I was only on it one or two times...A photographer from the Mid-West sent me pics and said use them as I would like...even on cd disks...I was selling a few at 4 3 x 5 for $4.00 I made a total of $25. which I bought donated to the Vagabonds to help with their insurance...I still don't understand the problem with the Sony Album...Your photobucket is the exact same thing...You can order pics, mugs, t-shirts, hats etc from both...so what is your problem with that??? I deleted over 1000 pictures on the sites so they are gone and lost forever...I had a total of almost 4000 pics. I can understand not selling a photographers pics but I will still stand when I believe "SELL MORE TO GET KNOWN MORE" "I WOULD BE PROUD IF YOU SOLD THE BON-BON'S PIC AND SOMEONE WANTED IT BAD ENOUGHT TO PAY FOR IT" I WILL SAY excluding photographers pics... but then how do I decipher photographers pics from 4000 pics that different people sent in??? I wanted to give you something to think about...I have a fav pic of Scout House and I will put it on and you will like it...anybody want to donate for a digital camera... Sincerely, Marlene PS Any problem if I sell my own pictures on there??? I have a few hundred from the alumni shows...that I took!!!
  14. I would like someone to know I am being harassed in Ebay messages (which I have not listed anything for a few months now) by joebearcat8383 If you know who he is I would like it to decease...I reported him to Ebay for Harassment,...
  15. We will start with the 1st and main site...enjoy! Mar http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/drumc...ofthe60sand70s/
  16. I just wanted everyone to know we have the sites all back...we still do not know what DID happen to our sites. (we have not heard back from Yahoo yet?) I have called them over & over again and put on hold for 30-35 min and got mad and hung up several times...I have written but no answers... I do want everyone to know I am very sorry it ever happened...This kind of thing is not supposed to happen to Drum Corps people...I have 3000 pictures on the sites and 9 out of 11 sites are open to view... I have no ideas who sent what or where they got them...If you see any on there that shouldn't be just write me and I will take them off or try to have the person that put them on take them off.... I have no other way of doing it...so I will leave you with this....I am sorry to all ......I will not sell any more pics and feel free to check the sites out...As for Image Station...I am keeping it but not open to the public...That was my mistake for not locking it up...the Photobucket is the exact same thing...Marlene
  17. Thanks I am no good at this.... It is the pic under this one Click on it for picture #2 ...Mar
  18. That is a total of 25.00 for all...That is all I made before ebay got theres...I ended up with 12-15. as a total... I want you to always remember this as a lesson...Wait till you are 71 and you will be and I hope you are alone (like I am) and look for things to keep you busy and get into problems such as this... If you never brought it to lite it would have never happened...This died last July and that is when I took everything off Ebay & quit them...I was sorry then that I did it and I am certainly sorry now... I have a lot of drum corps buddies that are with me...Over 600 on my site now...Mar
  19. MarimbasaurusRex You don't belong in the Drum Corps family...with that attitude...maybe you can find another job..
  20. http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures...l?id=2109354992 It said ing is not accepted??? so I took the ing off??? If it don't work do the same thing... This is when Color Guards were competitive..This Holy Name (Cadets) and I was in Bon Bons comp. guard and beat them...this is MY pic...
  21. It is a lot different then taking a picture at a Gallary (which I wouldn't go to anyway) than doing it with pics sent in with the ok to do it and my own pics and they were anywhere from 25 to 50 years old...with no name or copyright number on them...At least Moe Knox had the sense back in the 50's to have his name on the pictures...People today don't have brains enought to do that...they can put a right click - don't do that on it...or as Bands n Corps does...have it imprinted on every pic that goes out...The photographers today don't want to spend the time or the money to do it...This is my opinion...
  22. I have 2 pics of the Cadets (Holy Name) I would like you to see...How do I put them on???
  23. I have 2 pics for you to see how do I put them on??? mar
