  1. Sunrisers are staying at "The R.I.T. Inn" in West Henrietta.
  2. On Saturday, June 24th at 6:00 P.M., the Sunrisers will be making the the debut performance of our 2006 competition show. It will be a full dress performance for our alumni at Port Chester Middle School in Port Chester, NY. If you would like a preview of what Sun will be bringing to the field the following week in Dover, come on out and see us. Click the link below for directions.
  3. The Sunrisers are pleased to report a very successful Memorial Day weekend for 2006. The corps marched in the Oakland, NJ parade and had possibly the best parade turnout in 10 years for this performance. We played our normal parade repertoire and did our entire opener at standstill in front of the reviewing stand to a very appreciative crowd. This parade was followed by a rehearsal session right in Oakland. We're happy to say that we now have over two thirds of our 2006 show complete and field ready. We can't wait for opening day to show it to the drum corps world. We would also at this time like to announce our 2006 tour so you can make your "Sunriser Plans" for the summer. The tour will be in three legs. Western leg.... July 1st Dover NJ Southern Leg.... July 22nd Manassas, VA Northern Leg.... August 5th Waterbury, CT August 26th West Haven, CT And of course, DCA Championship Weekend, Rochester, NY September 2nd Prelims September 3rd Finals We look forward to seeing everyone at one or more of these shows. Special thanks to the town of Oakland, NJ for your hospitality this weekend. The Sunrisers next appearance wil be in the "concrete canyons" of New York in this weekends Israeli Day Parade. Come on out and see us!
  4. This is just a quick announcement about a schedule change. All members should have recieved an e-mail, but we want to make sure we reach everybody. On our original schedule, this weekends rehearsal was planned for the Nyack Center, Nyack N.Y. Due to your hard work and the the progress we've made this winter, we are ahead of where we expected to be and will be heading outside a week early. The Sunday, April 23rd rehearsal will be at our outdoor facility at the Wyeth-Ayerst plant in Pearl River N.Y. Rehearsal will run from 12 noon to 6 pm. Directions can be found on the Sunrisers website. Members, please remember that the weather at this time of the year can change very quickly. Be prepared for anything from the 40's to the 80's and do bring raingear. We're goin' anyway! See you all on Sunday!!!
  5. Click the link below to access an MP3 of the Sunrisers 2006 opener PAGLIACCI!!! (scroll down about an inch on the webpage to the link) This was recorded in early February so obviously it's not clean. We just wanted to share with our DCP friends a quick preview of what you'll be hearing from the Sunrisers this summer. We hope you enjoy this. Please have a look at the website while you're there.
  6. The Sunrisers kicked off the month of April with another outstanding rehearsal this past Sunday. Excellent attendance in all sections had the brass and percussion playing though nearly all of the 2006 program with great confidence. We hope to complete the show musically within the next few weeks as we prepare to start putting it on the field later this month. As with most corps, many members of the color guard are involved with their winter programs at this time. However we are happy to say that nearly 100% of last years guard will be returning for the 2006 campaign. Building upon the achievements of the 2005 guard, this should be a group that can compete with anyone this summer. The Sunrisers next rehearsal will be on Sunday, April 9th from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm at the Nyack Center in Nyack, N.Y. There are still a few spots open for any interested parties. For directions or if you have any questions, go to Sunrisers Website This is going to be a special year for The Sunrisers. Don't miss out.
  7. Now that St. Patrick's Day and it's parade commitments are behind us, The Sunrisers are ready to step things up a bit and intesify our practice schedule. We've had two outstanding turn-outs for parades these past two weekends to bring to a close the best winter the corps has experienced in a decade. Here is the schedule for the month of April..... 3/26 Rehearsal 12-6 at The Nyack Center 4/2 Rehearsal 12-6 at THe Nyack Center (guard at the Nyack YMCA) 4/9 Rehearsal 12-6 at The Nyack Center 4/23 Rehearsal 12-6 at the Nyack Center 4/29 Camp Weekend 10 am - 10 pm Wyeth Ayerst parking lot in Pearl River 4/30 Camp Weekend 11 am - 5 pm Wyeth Ayerst parking lot in Pearl River As always, directions to any of these sites and further information can be found at The Sunrisers Website, or by e-mail at SunrisersPR@gmail.com We are also very pleased to formally announce that The Sunrisers will be participating in the DCA South show on July 22nd in Manassas, Va. The corps is very excited about taking this trip and we're looking forward to seeing some of the corps and fans we don't normally get to see during the regular season. We hope this will be the first of many of these trips. Lastly, the corps still has a very few spots open. Come on out and see a rehearsal with The Sunrisers. You just might get all caught up in it! :)
  8. The Sunrisers have signed contracts to do the Manassas show and the Dover N.J. show. We will be doing 6-8 others shows, but until the contracts are signed, we won't make any announcement about them. Possibly that's the stance some of the other corps are taking as well.
