I can remember when I was with Kiwanis Kavaliers (probably 1994-5ish) we used to do the DCM (Drum Corps Midwest) tour. This tour was usually near the beginning of the season and so on July 4th we would do probably 4-5 parades in the Chicago area. One of the parades was to go through a local fair. At the end of the fair we did a stand still concert, which was normal as you might imagine. But this one was probably the most fun of all the concerts we did. We actually got to do the concert on the TILT-A-WHIRL. Obviously the ride wasn't running but we used the ride as a stage and the corps do the arc around the outside of the Tilt-A-Whirl with the drumline in the middle and the pit set up in the front. I can remember thinking how crazy this was and wondering if anyone would be crazy enough to start 'er up!

Can't wait! I might have to have a party that weekend!
