thats why their brass score went down almost a full point fromt he night before right? cuz the cavies are just better. i know you cant compare shows but a drop that big implys a bad run through in that category.

i lov how the first part of the season like everybody on here says there that dcp is definitely not anti bd and then as soon as they beat your beloved cavies the battle swords come out...

i started the thread. and i was FREAKING excited about what i saw last night.

nobody ###### on the cavies parade in the go cavies thread, why is it necessary to do so here?

i knew they could do it!! YOUR SHOW IS AMAZING!They went down a ton in brass from whate everybody says to be an off show for their hornline and still WON!! so since there is a thread for cavies i figure why not have a place for us people who bleed blue (which by the way is EVERYONE haha :P) so here is to #12 get em' DEVS!

and you think bd wont change their ending??? i love their show but even ill admit that the ending needs work. If i (as well as most others and so therefore judges probably) notice that the ending needs work, then im going to say that the bd staff prbably knows to. look for some rewrites. and still even with a what you call "basically incomplete show" (which im not convinced is a good description of what they have on the field now) bd TANKED in brass and still won...

how could you possibly get a feeling like that...

i love how everybody is soo optimistic for the cavies even though bd had a bad show tonight and still won..brass score went down .7...thats huge....

first off i didnt say best show this decade, why dont people read. i said ballad..and while i dont think its the best show this decade YET, it does beat 04 for me. yes

i love the show and all those things about it that i mentioned plus a lot more. yes i have bd bias and yes they are my favorite corps. i think its their best show this decade. * here is the part where you disagree with me and prove my point

i know its a discussion board..but this is the same thing as that phantom007 guy that everybody has been upset about. he may as well have named the thread "hey i dont like the show, now everybody tell me why they do like it so i can tell them they are wrong" because if you say what you think is good about it he will tell you why you're wrong and it will go absolutely nowhere. as did all those threads that were started by phantom007. all im sayin isthere is no point

well obviously you have your opinion, which you are completely entitled to, so im not sure why you even started this thread...if i were to say i love the way they made the show flow by intertwining the various godfather themes and i love how smokin the pit is this year, or how i love their new darker sound, or how i think this is their most emotional ballad this decade, you would just find someway to disagree. so why exactly did you start this thread..

i know it has a lot to do with the fact that they are my favorite corps...but i think after readin on here from other people that im not alone in saying jeez this show is effin awesome...bd/godfather = perfect match.

i understand that..i even said that in my post.. but this intonation is beyond preseason jitters. like i said i havent ever heard even them more out of tune. even the past 3 years they have been more in tune during preseason than this..

i just listened to the apd for the scades and i have figured out why they are getting those low scores. now in no way is this a trolling thread. i like the scades as i have MANY friends in it from high school. but the thing that stuck out for me in this recording is the horns and drums....with no exaggeration...this is the worst intonation i have ever heard from a div. I drum corps. It was so bad i was cringing for about 2/3 of the recording. i know this probably has a lot to do with their staffing changes (i heard the old brass tech was replaced with a 1 year veteran who is a clarinet major). but the bottom line is they just arent getting it done. i know its early in the season, but any competent musician should be able to tune a chord better than that..the drums are very very very sloppy. i saw that they got a 10.8 in perc. at the stockton show and i was thinking wow theres NO WAY. well after hearing this..WAY...i was really hoping to hear great things out of them this season after seeing some of their rep. but i was very much let down.

i think he was supposed to be trying to sound like marlon brando...

ya it still there and it sounds even better than on the recording.. they shortened it a bit. he played the same thing two times in a row on the cd and now he just plays it once...but he still rocks...go low brass......i really love all the subtle changes bd made to the show from the preseason cd. it helps the show flow alot more. i really like the ending but i think they can do something way cooler and im guessing that this is probably a 1st half season ending.

ok i found out why the scades are scoring so low. to put it bluntly.....this is the worst intonation i hav ever heard from a div. I corps.. its like they arent listening to each other at all. and each section individually plays with different tones. its like every person in their hornline has a different kind of horn...wow.. big issues up there in seattle. which makes me sad cuz i know a BUNCH of them...

scades have gone down in EVERY show this season...i sure cant wait for a review to see why this corps is in LAST #### PLACE!!
