  1. That's funny...because the guy who's yawning, his nickname is " elf" Don't think anyone could make out the guy who seems to be sitting on his head..His mane is George Wicks
  2. The last competitive year for Liberty Bell was 1957. A combination of the thought that we were screwed in Atlantic City and a large number of age outs did us in. The corps continued on feor a couple of years but really never got back on the field. Some of the remaining kids wound up with Vasella and Phila PAL corps Liberty Bell was a member of the Penn Jersey circuit and spent most of the time in North Jersey competing against all of the big time jr corps up there. We pretty much held our own there, but weren't able to win We did win the brass caption quite a few times, if that was some kind of consolation We won Pa States for 8 consecutive years. Main competition in Pa those years were the West Reading Polics Cadets. We also were New Jersey Open Class champs a few times Hope that answers a few questions Ken Uniforms in the pic were the old heavy long black jackets, shield on front was red with the Liberty Bell on it The following year 1956 we wore red satin shirts with blk/white sash
  3. Coulda waited awhile James As I told Nanci, take notice to the guy in the middle wearing a different jacket. His name is Dick Foltz, he had just joined and we didn't have a uniform big enough for him The pic is from 1955 and we are still playing together with the Reilly Alumni Ken
