  1. It's actually a Pagan symbol. But yes, it is often associated with satanic ritual. Not sure where that all started. ^0^
  2. I went to the regional in atlanta this year. I reeally wanted to see BD in the lot but they showed up really late (not as late as the cavies tho, haha). So i waited as long as i possibly could before i needed to go in and see some shows....Just when I was giving up and being ###### i didn't see them play Tim Jackson walks right by me. I snapped a quick pic and that was good enough for me haha
  3. Didn't even read the name before I read the post and I knew it was you haha. Excellent reporting Senior Tim Jackson Analyst. You watch his solo yet??
  4. Haha. I intended for this post to actually be about how amazing his playing ability is. Buuuut i'm not in any way going to fight the comic genius of inserting -Tim Jackson- into a Chuck Norris Joke. But if you guys haven't seen.....there is a video of his '06 i&e solo up on youtube. It's pretty low quality, but still amazing nonetheless.
  5. I was just about to add that one. You can read my mind like Chuck Norris and Tim Jackson can. Impressive. :D
  6. Conquering countries, destroying cities, roundhouse kicks (or scraping windmills) of righteousness, healing terminal illnesses with his presence (or maybe a single stroke roll), domination, a heart-stopping badassness.....the list goes on and on
  7. The guy is a phenom. He has just conquered (not won) his fourth i&e tenor solo championship. His solos are legendary, his technique is legendary, his presence is legendary, and he is a straight up B.A.M.F. He is a ######, no doubt about it. The parallels with Chuck Norris are eerie. His 18 tenor drum solo this year is genius in concoction as well as in execution. He is surrounded by drums, reminds me of neil peart, and proceeds to melt everyones face on the planet. I love the tuning of the drums too. OMG. It is an honor to be on the same planet as this man. I just want to know what everyone else thinks of Timmy J. I mean, I am a snare player and I think this guy pwnz. Discuss his awesomeness.....
  8. 3.) The Crossmen guy when he responded "i'm just from texas," referring to how the staff wanted him to speak spanish was pretty hilarious. Good timing my man. 2.) Mr. (No Eyes) Moto. Just a shady shady scv dude. Totally in his little own world. I think the cavies could have used this robot of a human being in their show. So to the point it was funny. 1.) Madison Guard guy. Someone figure out how to put this on youtube quick! The dude couldn't answer a single question, not even about what he was wearing. "Uhhh i don't know".........."ask the staff"......... Man, i couldn't even watch. SOOO funny though. PS Did anyone else notice how the director liked to get close up shots of single guard members like during breaks in shows. There were a couple guard members smiling so big the crowd couldn't help but laugh. And a moment where a guard chicks "O-face" :o was quite possibly the funniest thing of the night. b**bs
  9. Just wanted to say that Cadets 2006 is in no way a "clunker". If you saw them early, see them again (improved a ton!!), if you saw them lately see them again for me. Cadets are known for their work ethic all year and especially for the last push. Go Cadets!
  10. Drums will only get cleaner. I am blown away by that brass score. Beating the cadets in guard does seem a little strange. However, I can see SCV maxing this show out and getting up to the top five. FYI if you get a chance to see SCV's drumline warm up in the lot.....omg please take advantage. They are in a league of their own in the lot.
  11. Bump of Awesomeness!!!! Great drums, great horns, fantastic guard (and i noticed....and i'm a drummer....), performance level on all fronts that rivals the cavies. Huge crowd reactions achieved by all sections. High moments, low moments. LOUD. passionate. Great marching technique...silly righties..... My only critique as far as design would be in the amped vocals before and during the drum break. Just a few too many. But my main point here was to say that the Cadets Atlanta performance was on fire!!!! keep climbing kids :D
