  1. Cavaliers after their first VFW Nationals win in 1957
  2. This whole story is very sad but this part really gets me. Those photos and trophys were priceless. The past member is so correct, he did steal the Cadets history. And all the past papers and records too. At one time the Cadets were the class of Ohio and the corps to beat there. Cadet hall was the envy of alot of corps. To come in and see all those trophys on display. And those large photos on the walls. Very sad, I feel for all you past Cadets. Has the lynch mob been assembled yet?
  3. Check the "some old corps photos" thread. Use the "Search Topic" at bottom left in that thread.

  8. Senoritas, Monterey Park, CA. (South Gate Standstill early 1965)
  9. Velvet Knights, South Gate Standstill early 1965
  10. Sure it could, I was just responding to this last post ironlips posted, just thought everyone was looking for Trooper dates in the Eastern part of the country. I will leave you all alone now.
  11. That is not Harding Stadium in Marion if those are light poles. Harding has a light pole right down the 50 on the backfield and then one on each end of the stands for a total of three you would see. Also Harding had a small wooden pressbox up top on those back stands. It might be Bellefontaine on the 8th of August (Troopers went on at Marion Prelims the second day of Prelims at 9:34AM on the morning of the 9th, with Finals that night) They also did a show in Canton, Ohio the day after Marion on Sunday the 10th. (won by Oakland Crusaders)
  12. Here is another shot of the male in the rifle line. I remember him, as he kind of stood out from the rest of the line. 74 or 75 maybe? Also, I was almost positive the 3 in front of the GBV Cadets were not members,(you can kind of tell just by looking) but were something added for maybe that one performance or photo shoot. ( being the bicentennial year) I started to mention that when I posted the photo, but, I thought I would let those who were involved tell the story about it. Thanks Rabbit!
  13. General Butler Vagabonds 76 or 77 ( help us with the year again rabbit)
  14. General Butler Vagabond Cadets 1976 (help me on the year rabbit, I am just going by the 3 out in front)
  15. Vacationland Sweethearts from Port Clinton, Ohio In June 1964 a cheer went up from the stands "Go, Go Little Sisters, Go!" by their cheering brothers the Maumee Demons. After some 16 years as a majorette, swiss flag, drum and bell, color guard and baton corps, 1964 saw them switch to drums and bugles and take the field of competition. You wonder why they were adopted as little sisters by a senior corps, the directors, drum instructor and horn instructor were all members of the Demons.
