  1. Not my favorite Glassmen show. Just kind of eh...nothing too exciting. Guard is clean and good.
  2. I think those are new flags for their closer, like the changes they added to their end of the show. I am not a horn person, but sounds like they have some stick outs. Go Troop!
  3. I'd like to comment that the Acadmey's show was boring...and I was ready for it to be done half way through they have good talent - and id love to see them make finals one day - but with a more interesting show also, Troopers is my favorite show of the season, along with SCV. Its been a pleasure watching the Troopers throughout the season progress. I would be very happy if Troopers make finals.
  4. I too have never seen Jersey Surf before - they did a great job, the color guard did a great job!
  5. I'd just like to note- this is the first time EVER that I have seen Jersey Surf. Looking forward to it.
  6. Great job cascades! Color guard is so much better since San Antonio
  7. There is a corps called the Blue Saints from Canada. Not sure if they are around anymore.
  8. I think it was 2003 there primary colors show - and the year before that the guard was in black (i think). usually the guard is wearing white with like a blue dot on the leg. good grief.
  9. I'm surprised Blue Knights didnt interject the word "Knight" in the title of their show.
  10. Imagine that - Blue Knights color guard wearing white uniforms.
  11. Blue Devils will be hard to beat. I hate synthesizers!
  12. I like the "Great Divide" theme throughout. (I think that is the name of the song) Everytime I see this show they add nice visual moments through out- good for them and their visual staff. There guard has been great all season - cool color guard work.
  13. Liked the closer of Bluecoats, intrigued by the change of uniform by the whole corps - interesting. Favorite drill moment so far in their closer. Dont really understand the total package of the show. IMO
  14. Totally agree - I would love to see this medal.
  15. SCV - I am so happy someone is doing Appalachian Spring - I just love love love it. Wish the drill had some more exciting moments to match the music - especially in the middle. Great show!
  16. I have a dumb question, but was is INT?
  17. Haha, that is really funny, I dont think it will be this August.
  18. I think Mandarins need to clean their drill so badly - and why did their guard bring out matresses on the field? There flag silks looks like bed sheets with some colors. Otherwise - go Mandarins. Cascades - hopefully they can continue to grow in the next couple of years. I would not be happy if I had to spin tree branches in the guard.
  19. I cant even watch Scouts anymore - what in the f^%$ are they doing? What is their guard wearing? What is this wack show about? They are loud, but their drill is boring. Terrible visual. Right now I think it will be Colts over Troopers, Madison Scouts behind both of them.
  20. I really want the Troopers to make finals - as the underdogs - but I think Colts still have the edge. Troopers color guard needs to be tighter and cleaner. The corps visual program needs to be a bit more polished.
  21. Hey Everyone, I went to the Decatur show and thought I'd comment on some of the corps. Color guard guy here - so comments mostly about the guard. Capital Reg - only 5 in the guard. good show - about storms - reminded me of Crown in 95. The horns had some nice moments and the drumline was big and full. They will do good in Open Class. Racine Scouts - it was sad as right before they were going to start they announced that the 2005 volunteer of the year from Racine Scouts died that day. Heart breaking. The corps did a nice job with their New York show - 9 in the color guard - they just need to clean it up - but its June. Revolution - havent seen them since way back when they won Div III. The guard work was a bit too hard for these kids - everything was on a 45 degree angle - and it wasnt necessary. Chose to watch horns and drums instead. Will do good in Open class. Crossmen - my age out team. I appreciated the horns and drums all have capes on - kind of cool. I didnt get what was going on from a show perspective. They were trying to be spooky I guess - like the corps vs. guard? The guard work was good this year and good talented kids - they are in the right direction. Appreciated the Star of Indiana 93 music. Boston Crusaders - very provacotive - didnt get why - but then heard the Bachonale (sp?) and got why they were provacotive. The guard was very good - and the horn line was very good - loud. Liked it. Glassmen - kind of blah this year. Guard was good, corps was good, just nothing memorable. Loved the Glassmen last year. Carolina Crown - pretty cool show - love the Tenderlands - love the green - the guard is so talented, whenever Adam Sage is involved you know it is going to be a great show. They just have to complete their ideas and polish it up and the show has so much potential - cool stuff. Cavaliers - really good this year - they too just have to polish up their ideas and it will be a great show. Interesting concept with climbing and the ropes. I imagine they will have some cool visual moments being added in throughout the season. It is worth seeing their guard - in my opinion best guard of the night. Very clean for June and the best color guard work. I wouldnt count them out yet - they could catch up to Crown. All of this is my opinion - great job with everyone - have a good season.
  22. maybe it is just me, but I wasnt able to get to the dci.org website. I did a couple of times and finally found where to purchase the live feed and put in my billing information and clicked on submit and nothing else happened. I coudnt get passed this screen. This happened all day and was terribly frustrating. My wireless is working fine because I can get to any other website quickly with no problems. I tried getting to dci.org site on two different laptops and was unable to get passed the billing screen. Anyone else have a similar problem? I was thinking it was because the dci.org site was overwhelmed with people trying to purchase the live feed too? thoughts?
  23. I haven't seen him in years. Yeah, the last I heard he was teaching somewhere in Georgia.
