  7. For sure Bill, best practice so far and the weather even cooperated. Great to see so many there and really nice to add those new bass guys to the heartbeat..........
  8. MSJ is looking to add a few members to it's non-competitive, working guard. We are currently preparing for Harrisburg and the Classic and then will starting getting ready for the summer; parades and field shows. Barb Fitch, formerly of the Empire Statesmen and instructor of several local high schools is the guard designer and instructor assisted by Diane Wilson, a life long member of the MSJ Family. The commitment level is up to you. Our practice schedule gives you plenty of time to spend with family and friends. We are centrally located in Le Roy NY surrounded by Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Corning. Visit us on our web site at www.mightystjoes.com or just come out to one of our practices at the Le Roy Middle School at 2-6 Trigon Pk., Le Roy NY 14482 (off of E. Main St.)
  9. Yah, the B-day weekend is over. Fredonia will never be the same. Hope you had a great 18th! What's up Tim (no longer Timmy), what's up Joe? See ya at MSJ rehearsal soon..............
  10. Good stuff yesterday, finally the weather cooperated. Got through the whole book with entire ensemble for H-burg, timing was perfect. A few rough edges to work out but all-in-all pretty good rehearsal. Will add at least one more tune and 2 drum solos (yes 2) for the Classic. Glad to see Timmy is on board. If we get 'em all there at one time could be the strongest lead line ever! Next practice this Sunday, February 8th, LeRoy. Still time to jump on board and pick up this year's great music.
  11. My son Kurt is a senior at Fredonia and I think they have different laws there than the rest of the state so don't worry he's probably legal there..........
  12. Haven't you been 18 for years? Happy Birthday from all of us at MSJ! From another post: I forgot to add you to the leads at the Classic. Are you planning on being there with us?
  13. It certainly will have to be warmer than it is today (I hope!). And we're hoping for less snow also. We've got people coming a long way, a storm would not be good....... And what a combo: Donny, Ryan & Brad plus Ace, Franky, Tommy, Nate and Bernie. Throw in a little Mike (who knows) and Kacy, plus maybe Harold and Henry..........WOW. And those are just the leads! Then drummers from the east coast and Arizona plus all those Canadians and Pennsylvanians. Should be one great night.
  14. A flyer with ticket information will be posted soon.........
  15. Finally aged-out, time to move to Senior-senior division.......... Happy 22nd from all your friends at MSJ!
  16. Mighty St. Joe's is pleased to announce the line-up for The Curt Anderson Memorial "Classic XVI". This year's show, dedicated to our fallen friend, MSJ family member and Assistant Corps Director Curt Anderson, will include: Prime Time Brass, Rochester, NY Ghost Riders from Parts Unknown Reilly Raiders, Willow Grove PA The Optimists, Toronto, Ont. CAN The Crusaders, Rochester NY and your host Mighty St. Joe's The show is scheduled for Saturday, April 25th at Greece Apollo Middle School, Greece NY Show time - 7:00 P.M. A flyer with ticket information will be posted soon.........
  17. Like Gary said add Mighty St. Joe's to the list returning from last year with some great old music brought back to life.
  18. Deepest condolences from the Mighty St. Joe's Family to Rick's and the Crusaders' Families. Unfortunately we all know too well how such a loss like this can affect the entire drum corps world. May you rest in peace Rick.
  19. Just think, we're suppose to get rain tomorrow. Talk about ugly and sloppy....... We always seem to have the right 20. Let's just hope we continue to keep getting the other 30. Maybe that's something Santa could take care of for us. If John-John can make it from NC no-one should have an excuse (except maybe our Canadian Friends). Sully would be there in a blinding snow storm or a hurricane or a heat wave. His biggest concern is keeping that cigar lit.
  20. Mighty St. Joe's Alumni Corps (from WNY) would like to wish everyone in drum corps- A Very Merry Christmas and The Happiest, Healthiest and Most Successful New Year! And to let all of you know WE HAVE ENOUGH SNOW NOW!
